Round the Island Race

The Round the Island Race is organized by the Island Sailing Club, and the title sponsors are J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

The RTIR is an annual one-day nautical sailing extravaganza in which 1500 plus yachts of all classes and sizes race anti-clockwise around the Isle of Wight. The IRC handicapped race means that all yachts large or small all have an equal chance of winning the race.

This event is staged annually in the month of June, this year 2014 being the 83rd sailing of the RTIR.

Line honours and overall winner is awarded the Gold Roman Bowl, this year it goes to a Folkboat called "Madeline" skippered by Edward Donald.

Next years race is on Saturday 27th June 2015
